3 Replies to “Colbert on what Jesus said about homosexuality”

  1. Colbert is Biblically ignorant man – a typical mentally ill Liberal.
    1. Jesus was God; God stated homosexuality is an abomination – The Old Testament is filled with references to homosexuality being wicked. The man Jesus may have not been documented as speaking on homosexuality, but he didn’t need to, all of the Jewish people through later day followers of Christ knew homosexuality was unnatural and immoral.
    2. Paul tells us in Romans I that homosexuality is wicked, a turning from the natural to unnatural – the New Testament is also filled with references to homosexuality being unnatural and wicked. Paul was an Apostle of Jesus, so logic dictates Jesus instilled this morality in His disciples. Jesus was never documented as speaking on homosexuality because it most likely was seen as the wickedness it is, Jesus didn’t need to spell it out the obvious. And He never spoke on smoking crack or murdering unborn life either.

    Colbert/Liberalism: FAIL

Atheism presents nothing but ridicule, short of ignorance and intolerance, and ridicule is not an argument. The truth is that Christians and rational people are laughing at atheists – the foolish clowns of humanity; Atheism is dead.

    1. “Jesus was God”
This is what your bible says. So what? Islam’s Quran doesn’t say Jesus was God. The Torah doesn’t say this. You have no actual proof that your bible is any more the truth than the passionate Muslim or Jew who says that Jesus is a false profit. Why aren’t you a Morman? It’s just as plausible as Christianity. Why aren’t you a Scientologist? The Xenu character is just as legitimate as your Jesus character. So to say that homosexuality is an abomination because your god character says so in your fictional bible is just a nonsense.

If Jesus was your god embodied on earth, and your god is omniscient and omnipotent, and homosexuality is so important to your god, why didn’t he mention it when he was here on earth as Jesus. I would have thought that omniscience and consistency would have gone hand in hand.

Omniscient means that Jesus knew I would be typing this 2000 years after his death. According to your bible, your god’s plan was for me to be typing this now. I can’t be blind-siding an omniscient god. Why didn’t he just make it easy for all of his eye-rollingly-mad, frothing-at-the-mouth, right-wing-authoritarian-following, gay-hating, women-hating, lunatic followers and say, as he cursed that fruitless fig tree, “Oh, and I really hate gays too”. It would have only taken him a second.

If he’s omnipotent, he could go back in time and say it now, just to clear up this debate… Nope… Nothing… Still nothing. He could take a video camera back with him and record it. This is what omnipotent means, Bob.

Wait! I know why, it’s difficult to be a consistent when you are a poorly characterized work of fiction written by ignorant goat herders who lived on a flat, stationery earth where the wheel barrow was emergent technology.

Atheism simply says that there is no gods.
Adonai, Adonis, Ahura Mazda, Allah, Amon, Anubis, Aphrodite, Apollo, Astarte, Atlas, Azarial, Baal, Baast, Bacchus, Baldir, Bangputtis, Beelzebub, Belial, Bellona, Bendis, Brahma, Bran, Ceres, Cupid, Dagon, Demeter, Diana, Dionysus, Eris, the Father, Freia, Fricka, Gaia, Ganesh, Hanuman, Hekate, Hephaestus, Hera, Hercules, the Holy Ghost, Horus,Imhotep, Inanna, Indra, Ishtar, Isis, Janus, Jeebo, Jesus, Juno, Jupiter, Kali, Krishna, Kwan Yin, Lakshmi, Loge, Ma’at, Manannan mac Lir, Mars, Mercury, Merodak, Minerva, Nana Buluku, Nanook, Neptune, Nut, Occupim, Odin, Ogma, Osiris, Pan, Parvati, Persephone, Pluto, Pomona, Poseidon, Potrimpos, Priapus, Ptah, Quetzalcoatl, Ra, Rama, Saraswati, Saturn, Set, Shiva, Sophia, Tangaroa, Thanatos, Thor, Thoth, Uranus, Venus, Vesta, Vishnu, Waaq, Wotan, Xochiquetzal, Yahweh and Zeus
You are an atheist when it comes to all gods but your current favorites. I just go one god further than you. Why don’t you give Wotan a go? He might be the god for you. Hera? Hercules? Amon? Ra? No? Bob! You are so closed minded!

Atheism doesn’t say that I won’t be ignorant or intolerant. Your god/s, on the other hand, insist that ignorance and intolerance is the quickest way to heaven. Faith is ignorance at work. Rejection of non-believers and people with other gods is intolerance. These are corner stones of your religion. So perhaps you shouldn’t be the first to cast a stone, as your favorite fictional character is said to have said.

Bob’s hateful ranting is, unfortunately, not atypical of the hate theists come here to spew. Thank you for clearly illustrating the tortured illogical thought patterns of theists. Life with Bob: it’s just one face/palm after another.

I am not unhappy about the prospect of theists laughing at me. While they are laughing at me and hating me I don’t have to put up with their false friendship offers and proselytizing.

Thanks for dropping by, Bob. Try not to make a habit of it.

  2. Um… Paul was NOT an apostle of Jesus. Jesus was dead and gone long before Saul was stricken and became Paul. Funny thing is that most of “Christianity” is based on the writings of Paul – a man who never met the big Kahuna.
